Psychotherapy

Welcome

I’ve been specializing in the treatment of
eating disorders since 1995, working with individuals, couples, and families navigating challenges related to trauma, mood disorders, and relationship challenges. My work is rooted in the belief that healing happens in the context of safe, connected relationships—both with others and with ourselves.

My clinical experience spans residential, day treatment, intensive outpatient, and private practice settings. I co led an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) at Thousand Oaks Charter Hospital in 1994–1995, and was part of the founding team at Monte Nido Residential Treatment Center, where I served as a Primary Therapist from 1995–2001. I then became the Clinical Director of the Eating Disorder Center of California in 2001 before transitioning fully into private practice, where I’ve continued to support adolescents and adults on their healing journeys.

My therapeutic style is eclectic and individualized. I draw from a wide range of modalities—including DBT, CBT, IFS (Internal Family Systems), somatic practices, EMDR, and psychodynamic theories, particularly object relations—depending on what each client needs. I also integrate spiritual perspectives when appropriate, honoring the connection between emotional healing and existential resources.

I particularly enjoy working with women, couples, and teens and have extensive experience supporting clients through eating disorder recovery, trauma resolution, relational work, and life transitions. Whether I’m working with individuals, couples, or families, my focus is always on creating a space of safety, compassion, and growth.
